Higuerón Resort is more than the venue for the retreat. It is a setting that fits the central theme: winning and continuing to win.
Top-level sport, business, gastronomy, recovery and encounter come together in one place. The resort has an extensive Sport Club, a five-star hotel, spa and wellness, restaurants, a Beach Club and a professional congress centre. A programme here does not have to stay within the walls of a training room.
A setting of competition
Competition is part of Higuerón’s history. The resort ran its own Padel Pro Tour early on and has been linked to the Spanish beach volleyball championship since 2012. International tennis found a place here too: in 2024 Higuerón hosted the Spanish Davis Cup team for its official press conference, with Rafael Nadal among them.
Padel and tennis tournaments are still held here today. The Higuerón Tennis Center hosts national competitions and young talent, while professional players train and prepare here.
You feel that competitive character beyond the big events as well. Every day people train here in padel, tennis, beach volleyball, basketball, swimming, fitness and pilates. The facilities are set up for recreational players and high-performance training alike.
Where elite athletes train
Higuerón attracts people who know what performing means. The Tennis Center is led by ATP/WTA coach Jorge Aguirre. Professional players such as Hamad Medjedovic, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Cristina Bucșa and Bernarda Pera are connected with the centre and its training environment.
Basketball has its own high-performance setting here too, in The Embassy. Former NBA player and world champion José Manuel Calderón and former Spanish international Berni Rodríguez are part of Higuerón’s sporting community.
It is not only about winning. Elite sport also means training, recovering, analysing and starting again.
From sport to strategy
The same thinking lies behind the retreat.
Higuerón has a modern MICE and congress centre with more than ten fully equipped meeting rooms. The Picasso Convention Centre can host more than a thousand participants. For this retreat, though, we deliberately choose the opposite: twelve participants at most.
The infrastructure of a large international resort becomes the setting for a small group. We can think and debate in the meeting room, then head outside, play sport, eat together and pick up the conversation again later.
The space changes. The conversation continues.
The Higuerón ecosystem
This is exactly where Higuerón stands apart. Hotel, congress centre, Sport Club, spa, restaurants, residences, Beach Club and the Mediterranean setting do not work as separate facilities, but as one ecosystem.
You can train in the morning, then work on strategy, have lunch with the group, dive back into the content, recover in the spa and continue the conversation in the evening at the table or by the sea.
For this retreat that is essential. New ideas do not only emerge when twelve people sit around a table. They also emerge on a walk, after a match, over dinner, during recovery, or in that one informal conversation in which someone suddenly sees their company, their team or themselves differently.
